TNHMHCS employs over 60 employees. TNHMHCS provides consulting services in Spanish, Haitian Creole, Hindi, Urdu, Bengali and Greek. Clinton Clovis, LMHC, CCTS-F, CAMS-II, President – Born in Trinidad and Tobago, West Indies and emigrated to the United States in 2001. Prior to migrating to the United States, Clinton worked as a corrections officer within the Trinidad and Tobago penal system for 11 years. During her time working in corrections, Clinton worked as a prison restorative justice program coordinator. He traveled to other Caribbean islands to develop rehabilitation programs to be implemented in the region’s prison system, sparking in him a passion for psychology and counseling.

Clinton graduated from Hunter College with honors with a master’s degree in mental health counseling. He is now in his second year of a doctorate in psychology. Clinton is president of The New Hope mental health counseling services located on the border of Queens and Long Island. Clinton is a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist and a Certified Level II Anger Management Specialist. Clinton leads a team of licensed mental health counselors, marriage and family therapists, and social workers to provide affordable mental health services to primarily people of color. Clinton is an ordained minister with a vision to explode mental health myths in the black and brown community.

About: Don Sinkfield, LMHC, CAMS II, Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer – Don holds a Masters in School Counseling and Mental Health from Queens College. Don is also certified in Domestic Violence Intervention as well as a Level 2 Anger Management Specialist. Don’s passion for counseling began in the New York school system where he devoted just over 20 years helping youth at risk. Don’s skills as a counselor were recognized by his colleagues who praised him for his calming effect on students. Don’s interest in counseling grew when he took the risk of opening his own practice, Help to Adjust Counseling and Anger Management. Along with a few counsellors, he responded to the needs of community members by providing affordable mental health services.

Don serves as Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer. He oversees administrative staff and operations by guiding operating methods, improving information systems and policies.

The TNHMHCS has a highly competitive clinical internship program that trains students at these institutions of higher learning. The TNHMHCS trains nearly 50 trainees each year and often employs some of the graduate trainees.
