  • This role requires the co-creation and implementation of strategies as well as the design and delivery of compelling presentations.

  • The main objective will be to develop new buying centers in target oil and gas accounts.
  • The ideal candidate should have offshore oil and gas drilling experience.
  • The ideal candidate should have reliable contacts within the oil and gas industry.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Turn leads into opportunities and convert them into new accounts
  • Leverage knowledge of industry trends and customer challenges to develop and deliver compelling value propositions.
  • Assist in the evaluation, design and development of technical tender requirements.
  • Support the development of project proposals; use data collection and analysis techniques to present proposed solutions to clients
  • Manage customer expectations throughout the sales cycle and closing process
  • Develop and manage a pipeline of qualified opportunities
  • Develop relationships with key buyers and decision makers at new and/or existing customers.
  • Influencing the selection process and client evaluation criteria.
  • Facilitate negotiations and closing activities.
  • Engage effectively with MPG to secure their support and collaborate on closing deals.
  • Manage the successful transition of the opportunity to the delivery team.
  • Support efforts and/or obtain long-term agreements with customers.
  • Manage the opportunity for follow-up sales at closing.
  • Establish a qualification and victory strategy and a power map.
  • Coordinate internal approvals and sales team resources; manage the solution/proposal develop relevant customer interactions and customer demonstrations, etc.
  • Ensure a competitive advantage is created and maintained.
  • Participate as a leader in forecasting local objectives.
  • Supervise or manage other Sales Capture Leads or other members of the sales team.
  • Identify and assess complex issues for area(s) of responsibility. Creates solutions in situations where analysis requires in-depth knowledge of organizational goals.
  • Participated in setting strategic direction to establish short-term goals for area(s) of responsibility.
  • Interacting with senior executives at the Houston, TX corporate headquarters involving negotiation or influence on significant issues.
  • Power to influence or perform tasks independently and ability to make decisions, as indicated by latitude to design work products or plans, confidence in instructions, and decision-making ability.
  • Manages large teams and/or work efforts at a client or within MPG.
  • Develop a growth strategy focused on both financial gain and customer satisfaction
  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
  • Arrange business meetings with potential clients
  • Promote company products/services by addressing or predicting customer goals
  • Prepare sales contracts, ensuring compliance with the rules and guidelines established by law
  • Keep records of sales, income, invoices, etc.
  • Provide reliable feedback and after-sales support
  • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
  • Turn entry-level staff into valuable salespeople.

Qualifications
Academic requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree and or equivalent

What skills and experience are we looking for?

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Proven work experience as a business development manager, sales manager or in a relevant role
  • Proven sales experience
  • Customer support experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)
  • Ability to build relationships
  • Time management and planning skills
  • In-depth experience and understanding of the supply chain industry.
  • Relationships within 18 industries in a global market.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Enlightened media and technology.
  • Must have in-depth knowledge and experience of manufacturing process, financial services, products, resources, digital supply chain, integrated business planning, supply chain collaboration, management of suppliers, manufacturing flow, service providers, events and marketing packages, transport management, asset management, Product Lifecycle Management, Integration with other modules.
  • Hands-on experience with MPG product solutions and/or program delivery, in one or more functions.
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of training courses for MPG university courses, job creation and career development.
  • SAP experience.
  • Work with customer account managers and industry leaders to understand the latest MPG offerings and from there develop compelling value propositions to take the customer on.
  • Rapidly develop credibility both internally at MPG and with our clients – becoming the trusted partner of our long-standing and emerging clients, in turn influencing the selection process and client evaluation criteria.
  • Coordinate internal approvals (including initial qualification) and sales team resources; manage solution/proposal development, customer interactions and relevant customer demos.
  • Facilitate negotiations and close activities. Manage the successful transition of the opportunity to the delivery team.
