New partnership to provide financial education and advice to Montgomery

Trustmark Bank, Operation HOPE and the City of Montgomery have announced a partnership to provide financial education and advice.

“My administration has made working with Trustmark and Operation HOPE a priority to ensure that everyone in Montgomery has the chance to live, learn and earn money,” said Steven L. Reed, Mayor of Montgomery, during the announcement of the partnership Thursday morning. “This partnership will dramatically increase access to essential tools and resources that will change the financial trajectory of residents and entrepreneurs in our community.

“Trustmark has a long-standing commitment to helping clients achieve financial success in order to build better lives,” said Duane Dewey, CEO of Trustmark. “We believe Trustmark’s partnership with Operation HOPE and the City of Montgomery will expand financial empowerment opportunities for individuals, businesses and families in the Montgomery community.”

An Operation HOPE Inside location is now located at Trustmark’s Carmichael Road location in Montgomery.

Trustmark Associates and Operation HOPE Wellbeing Coach will work with Montgomery clients to create personalized financial plans and small business development.

“Operation HOPE’s mission is to help every American reach their potential and participate fully in the world’s largest economy,” said John Hope Bryant, CEO and Founder of Operation HOPE. “I launched Operation HOPE almost 30 years ago with the vision that financial literacy can change the lot of those less fortunate. I am excited to launch this initiative and build on that vision with this new partnership with Trustmark and the Town of Montgomery.

This is Operation HOPE’s third partnership with Trustmark; Operation HOPE coaches are located at the Trustmark’s Poplar Plaza site in Memphis, Tennessee and at the Trustmark’s Financial CORE site at the Metro Center in Jackson, Mississippi.
