“As the economy makes progress in recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic, we know people have been impacted by the changing jobs landscape and economic uncertainty. That is why we must support programs that provide workers with the opportunity to pursue education and credentials and get the career guidance they need. Unfortunately, awareness of these resources can be limited. That’s why I’m proud to join Congressman Thompson in introducing the bipartisan Building Opportunities to Prosper and Advance Act to ensure we can raise awareness of workforce programs and ensure we reach the communities and workers who will benefit from these opportunities,” Kilmer said.
The bill is endorsed by several groups, including the Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE), Advance CTE, National Skills Coalition, Jobs For the Future (JFF), National Association of Workforce Boards, Association of Woodworking and Furnishing Suppliers and the National Career Development Association (NCDA).
