Governor Bill Anoatubby has appointed Sean Boyd as General Manager of Marketing and Business Development in the Chickasaw Nation Department of Commerce.

Mr. Boyd has worked for the Chickasaw Nation since 2016.

“Sean Boyd understands the role his work plays in our mission to improve the overall quality of life for the Chickasaw people,” said Governor Anoatubby. “His understanding of the vital role professional relationships play in sales and marketing makes him well prepared to serve the Chickasaw Nation well in this role.”

Mr. Boyd’s relationship with the tribe began as a supplier partner, acting as sales manager for Learfield Sports. This role included selling partnerships and managing a sales team responsible for media rights at the University of Oklahoma Athletics. This relationship lasted almost a decade.

“Considering the time I have spent serving the Chickasaw Nation as a salesperson, I saw the opportunity to work directly for the Chickasaw Nation as a great opportunity to serve their mission,” said Mr. Boyd. . “I am motivated to be part of ‘One Tribe, One Mission’, knowing that any value our teams are able to create goes towards something much greater than ourselves. “

Mr. Boyd, from Norman, Oklahoma, began his work as the Strategic Business Partnerships Manager overseeing large format sponsorships, strategic supplier partnerships and corporate sales initiatives and revenue-generating efforts for the department. of the Chickasaw Nation Trade.

“I chose to go into sales and eventually sales / marketing management because I recognized the need to build quality relationships that translate into a win-win value proposition for my employer and them. clients that I have had the good fortune to work with, ”he said. “I believe in the age-old saying that people do business with those they love and trust. “
