Vinod Brahmapuram Joins Lumen Technologies as Security Business Development Manager


Lumen Technologies announced Thursday that Vinod Brahmapuramformer chief information security officer for the state of Washington, was appointed to head Security business development for state and local government and society education markets.

“Vinod is a recognized cybersecurity thought leader with a passion for advancing and transforming security in the public sector,” said Sonia Ramsey, Regional Vice President of State and Local Government Markets and Lumen’s upbringing, which Brahmapuram will report on after his appointment.

Prior to his previous position in Washington, Brahmapuram served as deputy director of information security for the state of South Carolina. Additionally, he also served as CISO for Strategic Planning as well as Corporate Governance, Risk and Compliance at the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services.

Vinod Brahmapuram joined DHHS in 2005 as a business analyst for a small program and progressed through a wide range of business functions to CISO for the $2 billion department, providing health and social services to citizens of New Hampshire.

“He has over 25 years of experience in information technology with deep expertise in leading cross-functional teams of internal and external stakeholders to deliver innovative programs at scale,” Ramsey noted. “Vinod has advised governors and legislators on key cybersecurity issues and has held senior cybersecurity positions in three states.
